Retro Rocket and Polyfill LED Nebulas

VBS (Vacation Bible School) at our church this year was themed Galactic Starveyors and my wife was asked to help with some of the decorations for the main foyer. To that end Pinterest offered some great ideas such as this article on how to make L.E.D. Cloud Nebulas. Here are some pictures of how ours turned out:

Additionally Kelly asked me to create a rocket for the PhotoSpot for the kids… I had NO idea what I was going to create… I started with a vertical plan for the rocket… but then what makes it exciting for the kids? Also, I actually had no idea what materials to use or how I was going to accomplish this! But I totally did NOT want to disappoint my lady. I think the end result is suer fun, and my kids certainly kept playing in it while it was in construction mode… so much so that I decided to abandon any plan to use cardboard or other materials that would not weather well… The long term plan is to move the rocket into the backyard for my kids to play on next to their playground/treehouse.

Here is a video to see the completed product and the vibration provided by the box fan inside the back trash can (vibration achieved by removing one of the five blades to make it off balance. (Re-used the box fans from my Marvel Avengers Quinjet project.)
